Question 1

What is Know Your Church?

Accepted Answer

Know Your Church (also called KnowUrChurch) is a complete church management app — not just Sunday school. It handles Sunday School attendance, class organization, homework, memory verse tracking, and whole-church events like Talent Day, plus a members & committee directory, trip planning with registrations and collections, and a volunteer duty roster — all under one church code.

Question 2

Is Know Your Church free?

Accepted Answer

You can try every feature free for 30 days — no card needed. After that, choose Basic or Premium, billed monthly in your currency (US dollars outside India). Members, events, trips, rosters and the gallery are included on every plan, and you can cancel anytime.

Question 3

Do parents need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Parents open a single shareable link — the Weekly Parent Recap or an event lineup like Talent Day — right in their browser or WhatsApp, with no login, no app download, and no password.

Question 4

Can it handle a whole-school event like Talent Day or a Christmas program?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sunday School leads can create an event, teachers submit their class's performances, a Sunday School lead sets the running order and times, and the finished lineup is shared with parents as one link — including last-minute or guest performers who aren't part of any class.

Question 5

What's the difference between Know Your Church and a generic church management app?

Accepted Answer

Know Your Church covers the whole church — Sunday School attendance and homework, a members & committee directory, trip planning, and a volunteer duty roster — not just one slice of it, and it's built around communicating with parents and volunteers directly, without needing them to install anything.

Question 6

Can one church have multiple teachers and classes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each church gets its own unique church code. Super admins and Sunday School leads manage teacher and class accounts under that church, and every teacher only sees their own class's students and data.

Question 7

Is my church's data private from other churches?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Know Your Church is multi-tenant — every church's students, classes, attendance, and events are isolated from every other church on the platform by design.

Question 8

Can more than one person have full admin access?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The church owner can add a co-admin — another Super Admin with the same day-to-day access, signing in with their own Google account. Only account-level actions, like adding or removing another Super Admin, stay restricted to the original owner.

Question 9

Do teachers, Sunday School leads, and trip coordinators each get their own login?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every role gets its own dashboard scoped to what they actually need — a teacher only sees their assigned class, a trip coordinator only sees the one trip they're helping run, and a Sunday School lead sees the whole Sunday school. No one needs to share a login.

Question 10

Can I import an existing list instead of typing everyone in by hand?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Members and trip registrations can both be imported from a CSV or Excel file — upload a spreadsheet with a name column (plus whatever else you have), and it's matched against your existing records automatically instead of you re-entering everything by hand.
